Tanishk Bagchi on creating ‘Zulmi’
Talking about the track, Tanishk Bagchi said that the team wanted to explore a different musical mood with the song.
“With ‘Zulmi’, we wanted to bring a sound that feels fun, fresh and a little unexpected. I enjoy exploring different musical moods, and this track gave us the space to do something playful. Kumaar ji’s lyrics capture the song’s quirky spirit beautifully,” he said.
Bagchi also spoke about his experience of working with filmmaker Luv Ranjan on the project.
“Working with Luv Ranjan has been a great experience, as he encourages you to explore your creativity and bring something distinctive to the table. Heer has brought her own flavour to the song, and I’m excited for the audience to experience it as part of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar,” he added.
Kumaar on giving the song its own personality
Lyricist Kumaar said that writing ‘Zulmi’ involved finding a balance between the lyrics and the overall mood of the composition.
“Writing for a song like ‘Zulmi’ is about finding the right balance between the words and the mood of the music. You want the lyrics to have their own character while keeping the song light and enjoyable,” he said.
“We wanted to give this track a personality of its own, and I hope listeners pick up on that when they hear it,” Kumaar added.
