Reckitt say India business recorded high-single-digit growth in June quarter

The company said India germ protection brand Dettol’s performance was supported by expanded distribution reach and improved in-store execution in June quarter

Reckitt, maker of brands such as Dettol and Harpic, on Wednesday said its India business recorded high single-digit-growth in the June quarter. The consumer products major, that released its Q2 CY 2026 earnings, said it has been has also grown its distribution with “double-digit increase” in terms of towns covered in India.
On the earnings call, Kris Licht, Global Chief Executive Officer, Reckitt said, “India continues to perform very strongly, with consistent growth across each of our categories, driven by our loved and trusted power brands, and activated through increasingly smart distribution.”
“When we think about penetration, this is being delivered by our enhanced execution in markets like India and China through very different consumer engagement strategies……offline-led in India and online-led in China. The learnings and the best practices from these markets are being taken into other markets today,” he noted.
Expanded Coverage
The company said India’s growth in the June quarter was led by Germ Protection, Intimate Wellness and Household Care categories. It added that “execution was further enhanced by our ongoing sales transformation driving expanded coverage and improved in-store execution. The company’s portfolio includes Dettol, Harpic, Lizol, Veet, Durex and Gaviscon among others.
It added that in India germ protection brand Dettol’s performance was supported by expanded distribution reach and improved in-store execution in June quarter.
Talking about the H1 performance, the company noted that growth was led by double-digit growth in China and India, alongside positive contributions from ASEAN and LATAM and a stabilised performance in the Middle East.“
Broad-based Growth
“In India, enhanced sales force automation increased distribution reach through a double-digit increase in towns covered and improved in-store execution,” the earnings statement noted.
On future outlook, Reckitt said that “in emerging Markets we expect H2 performance to be similar to H1, with a continuation of broad-based growth across regions alongside India and China”
