Ramayana Day 5 Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor–Yash starrer clocks Rs. 19.11 cr. for Monday; nearly 5 lakh tickets sold as Hindi dominates

Ramayana – Part I, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, is witnessing encouraging advance bookings for its fifth day, Monday, November 9. The much-awaited mythological epic has registered advance ticket sales worth Rs. 19.11 crores across all language versions, as of 4:30 PM on Saturday, November 7. A total of 4,92,928 tickets have already been sold across 16,559 shows, indicating substantial interest ahead of the crucial Monday test.

The advance booking figures are particularly significant because Monday marks the first weekday following the film’s extended four-day opening weekend. Having released on Thursday, November 5, Ramayana has benefited from the initial rush of audiences and weekend demand. However, its ability to sustain collections on Monday will provide a clearer picture of its box office prospects.

One of the most striking aspects of the Day 5 advance booking figures is the overwhelming dominance of the Hindi version. Of the Rs. 19.11 crores collected in advance sales across all languages, the Hindi version alone has contributed Rs. 16.91 crores, accounting for approximately 88.49% of the total. The remaining language versions have collectively contributed just Rs. 2.20 crores, representing approximately 11.51% of advance bookings. This is an interesting development, particularly because the Hindi version accounted for approximately 73.63% of Ramayana‘s combined domestic nett collections over its opening two days.

The significantly higher Hindi share in Monday’s advance bookings suggests that the film’s weekday pre-sales are far more concentrated in the Hindi market.

While the South Indian versions benefited from initial curiosity and Yash’s popularity, the Day 5 advance figures indicate that Hindi-speaking territories are currently driving the bulk of advance demand.

Maharashtra, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Gujarat have emerged as the three leading markets for Day 5 advance sales. At the city level, Mumbai, Delhi and Pune occupy the top three positions. Unlike Sunday’s advance bookings, where Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana were the leading state-level markets, Monday’s advance bookings are being dominated by territories traditionally associated with Hindi-language cinema. The absence of Karnataka and Telangana from the top three Day 5 markets is noteworthy, particularly given their strong presence in the film’s opening-weekend advance bookings.

This shift further reinforces the growing importance of the Hindi market as Ramayana approaches its first weekday.

The Rs. 19.11 crore advance-booking figure provides Ramayana with a substantial starting base for Monday. However, the eventual Day 5 collection will depend on several factors, including spot bookings, occupancy levels and audience response across different territories.
