Parvatipuram MLA condemns sudden transfer of official PA, calls for inquiry
Telugu Desam Party MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra on Saturday (September 19, 2026) condemned the transfer of his official personal assistant, V. Rama Krishna, without any prior notice, and filed a written complaint against Parvatipuram Collector N. Prabhakara Reddy to Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary, the MLA requested an inquiry and cited it as an insult to the public representative. He stated that Mr. Rama Krishna, who holds the rank of Deputy Tehsildar, was allocated as the official PA to the legislator in the year 2024. When Mr. Vijaya Chandra went to Amaravati to participate in the Assembly session, the Collector issued orders transferring Mr. Rama Krishna to Salur in the Parvatipuram-Manyam district.
“Without prior permission and notification, the Collector is not supposed to transfer the official PA of a public representative. The sudden transfer hampered official work, as the PA used to follow up on issues related to development and public grievances,” he said in the letter. Mr. Vijaya Chandra alleged that the Collector was not responding to the public issues raised during the review meetings.
According to reports, during a recent review meeting, the Collector and the MLA had a heated argument over the inordinate delay in the developmental activities in the Parvatipuram Assembly constituency.
Minister of Tribal Welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani also expressed her displeasure over the inordinate delay in road development works between Saluru and Makkuva.
Mr. Prabhakara Reddy stated that the administration was taking steps on a priority basis and that there was no mala fide intention behind the delay in the works.
