NuHome offers a range of home furnishing products, including curtains and upholstery. With Thakur joining as its brand ambassador, the brand is looking to expand its consumer connect through a campaign centred on design, fabrics and personal expression in home interiors.

Speaking about her association with NuHome, Mrunal Thakur said, “It feels surreal to be a part of NuHome that makes a home feel complete. With its wide range of artful designs and fabrics, NuHome brings a unique kind of taste crafted for your vision and for the versatility of your humble abode, bringing you even closer to a space that’s just yours and your loved ones.”

The campaign also marks the first collaboration between Thakur and Imtiaz Ali. Speaking about the project, Ali said, “It was a pleasure collaborating with Nuhome and the creative team on a campaign that celebrates fabrics as works of art. I’ve always enjoyed art-led storytelling, so it was lovely to work with a brand that shares that sensibility. Working with Mrunal for the first time was a wonderful experience, and we had a great time bringing the film to life. And of course it was quite a relief to let someone else call the shots for once! (Laughs)”

The brand film has been directed and produced by Samar Gupta under the banner of The Bombay Film Studio. Gupta also conceptualised and co-wrote the film, with cinematographer Satchith Paulose working on its visual treatment.

Commenting on the brand’s direction, NuHome co-founders Amit Goenka and Aman Goenka said, “At NuHome, we believe art should extend beyond galleries and museums into the spaces we live in every day. Our vision is to bring the inspiration, creativity and emotion of art into homes through design, while exploring original ideas rather than simply following trends. Our ambition is to create a design language that is recognisably NuHome. This new brand film is another step towards making homes more expressive, individual and inspiring, while bringing fresh perspectives to the world of interiors.”

Thakur’s appointment marks NuHome’s move to introduce a celebrity face to its brand communication for the first time. The new campaign brings together the actress and Ali to present the brand’s approach to home furnishings and contemporary interior design.
