Henriques’ Portugal qualify for T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2027

Portugal secured their place in the 2027 Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier by defeating Spain by 57 runs in the Sub-Regional Qualifier C final at the National Cricket Field of Kerava, Finland, on August 21. Spain’s most effective bowlers were Lorne Burns and Yasir Ali, who finished with 2/29 and 2/24 respectively. The rest of the Spain attack, however, could not stem the flow of runs in the closing overs as Portugal’s lower order took full advantage.

Jersey claimed the Sub-Regional Qualifier A title in Cyprus, while Denmark won Sub-Regional Qualifier B on home soil. Scotland will enter the Europe Qualifier directly, a decision taken in recognition of exceptional circumstances linked to their involvement in the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup. Italy and the Netherlands, meanwhile, advance directly to the Global Qualifier.
