Avengers: Doomsday unveils 5 new posters featuring Doctor Doom; Robert Downey Jr’s villainous avatar takes centre stage
The countdown to Avengers: Doomsday has gathered momentum, with Marvel Studios unveiling five new posters for the highly anticipated superhero film. The latest promotional assets put Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., at the centre of the campaign, offering fans another glimpse of the formidable antagonist ahead of the film’s global theatrical release.
The newly released posters feature Victor von Doom in his signature metallic mask and emerald-green hooded tunic. The visuals capture the character’s imposing presence against imagery of destruction and the fractured remnants of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, hinting at the scale of the conflict awaiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The artwork also reinforces Doctor Doom’s central role in the upcoming multiverse storyline.
The poster reveal follows Marvel’s recent Diwali announcement, in which Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans shared festive wishes with Indian audiences and confirmed that the film would arrive in Indian cinemas a day ahead of its previously announced global release. Evans is set to reprise his role as Steve Rogers, while Downey Jr., who previously portrayed Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU, will return to the franchise in a new avatar as Doctor Doom. The film is scheduled to release in India on December 17, 2026.

The film is positioned as the penultimate chapter of the Multiverse Saga and brings together characters from three different universes. The Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men are set to unite as they confront a threat that could trigger the collapse of multiple realities.
For its Indian theatrical release, the film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Audiences will also have access to several premium viewing formats, including Marvel Studios Presented in Infinity Vision, 4DX, RealD 3D, ScreenX and Dolby Cinema.
With Doctor Doom taking centre stage in the latest posters and an ensemble spanning multiple Marvel franchises, Avengers: Doomsday is gearing up for a major theatrical outing in India this December.
