AFG vs IND 2026: 3rd T20I Match Preview

India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan after putting up a dominant display across the first two games. The third and final T20I will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, September 17.

Shreyas Iyer has led India brilliantly. The bowlers have been stunning for India. The pitches have been excellent for batting and the boundaries are not too big. However, the Indian bowling attack has restricted the opposition for scores of 156/8 and 159/8 in the first two games. Afghanistan will have to come up with a much improved batting effort on Thursday.

The Blue Tigers have a great bowling attack on paper. However, they have looked ordinary against an ultra-aggressive Indian batting line-up. Neutrals and Afghanistan fans will want to see a much better performance from Ibrahim Zadran and Co. They were recently whitewashed in an ODI series in India. Another whitewash, this time in the shortest format, could be devastating for the Afghans.
