Actor Lakshmipriya booked for allegedly defaming Ansiba Hassan

The Palarivattom police have booked actor Lakshmipriya on a charge of allegedly defaming fellow actor Ansiba Hassan.

The case was registered following an order from the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court IX, Ernakulam, according to the FIR. The complaint pertains to comments allegedly made by Ms. Lakshmipriya against Ms. Hassan in an interview published by an online channel in June.

She has been booked for alleged criminal defamation under Section 356(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
