Future of Congress in Kerala hinges on IUML support: Vellappally Natesan
The Congress party in Kerala cannot move forward without the support of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said.
Inaugurating the SNDP Yogam branch leadership meeting at Edathua in Kuttanad on Saturday (August 9, 2025), Mr. Natesan said that the IUML was trying to create a Muslim nation and implement Sharia law.
“During the fasting period, even a teashop is not allowed to function in Malappuram. The Muslim community is threatening governments by showcasing their vote bank,” he said.
Mr. Natesan said that those who, for years, had been buying the votes of the people of Kuttanad did not actually care for them, and that only by coming together in an organised manner could the community secure what it rightfully deserves.
