Chhaava team reacts as the film premieres on television, to air on Star Gold this Independence Day weekend
This Independence Day weekend, audiences across India will get a chance to watch one of 2025’s biggest blockbusters from the comfort of their homes, as Chhaava is set for its World TV Premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, August 17, at 8 PM. The historical drama, which grossed over Rs. 800 crore globally, will also be available in Marathi for the first time on select operators.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava brings to life the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the fearless son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film traces his journey of leadership, courage, and sacrifice, capturing a significant chapter in India’s history. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Divya Dutta as Maharani Soyarabai, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash, and Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite. Each performance was appreciated during its release for reflecting the historical magnitude and emotional depth of the saga.
