Udta Teer Box Office: Film heads for Rs. 46.5 cr. Lifetime after collecting just Rs. 15 lakh on Day 15
Udta Teer is nearing the end of its theatrical run, with the film witnessing a sharp decline in collections after showing encouraging momentum during its first two weekends. Having accumulated Rs. 45.51 crore nett in India over 15 days, the film is now expected to conclude its theatrical journey in the vicinity of Rs. 46.50–47 crore.
The film opened at Rs. 3.89 crore and witnessed impressive growth over its opening weekend, collecting Rs. 7.04 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 7.90 crore on Day 3. The strong weekend helped Udta Teer build a respectable foundation. Although collections dropped to Rs. 3.08 crore on Monday, the film maintained a fairly steady hold over the weekdays, eventually closing its first week at Rs. 30.08 crore.
Interestingly, Udta Teer showed signs of resilience during its second weekend. After collecting Rs. 2.77 crore on Day 8, the film witnessed a healthy jump to Rs. 3.98 crore on Day 9 and Rs. 4.24 crore on Day 10. This indicated that the film was continuing to attract audiences despite entering its second week.
However, the momentum began weakening thereafter. Collections dropped to Rs. 1.38 crore on Day 11, followed by Rs. 1.54 crore on Day 12 and Rs. 1.20 crore on Day 13. The biggest setback came on Day 14, when the film crashed to just Rs. 17 lakh. The downward trend continued on Day 15, with collections slipping further to Rs. 15 lakh.
The film’s second-week collection stood at Rs. 15.28 crore, representing a decline of approximately 49.2% compared to its opening week. While this week-on-week drop was relatively controlled, the sudden collapse towards the end of the second week has significantly reduced the film’s chances of a longer theatrical run.
With collections now hovering around Rs. 15 lakh per day, Udta Teer faces an uphill task in adding substantially to its existing total. Even if the film manages to benefit from weekend growth, its remaining theatrical business is likely to be limited.
As things stand, Udta Teer is expected to finish with a lifetime collection of approximately Rs. 46.50–47 crore nett in India. However, the coveted Rs. 50 crore milestone now appears well beyond reach. The film needs another Rs. 4.49 crore to cross that mark, which seems highly improbable given its current daily collections.
Ultimately, Udta Teer has managed to put up a respectable theatrical total, driven largely by its opening two weekends. However, the sharp decline in its final days suggests that the film is likely to wrap up its theatrical journey just short of the Rs. 47 crore mark.
