The actor also spoke about the creative opportunities that come with working across languages and cultures, highlighting how such collaborations can offer new perspectives on storytelling.
She added, “it’s so much fun to work across borders and language barriers. Working across cultures gives you a different perspective on storytelling and allows you to learn from people who approach cinema in their own unique ways. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience I’m grateful to have been part of it. While it’s still too early to share details about the film, it is a drama with a very strong female lead at its heart.”
While the makers have kept the film’s title, supporting cast and release plans under wraps, Saiyami has confirmed that the project is a drama built around a strong female protagonist. The film brings together creative perspectives from India and Russia, with the collaboration extending across locations, languages and filmmaking practices.
For Saiyami, the project marks a new professional milestone, offering her the opportunity to work within an international production setup and explore a different cinematic culture. The actor has expressed hope that this collaboration will lead to more international projects in the future.
