Unprecedented Generosity: Mirai team surrenders all its theatres to They Call Him OG
In an unparalleled gesture of generosity and camaraderie, the makers of the blockbuster Mirai have surrendered all their theatres and screens to Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG, albeit for just a day on the release of OG on Thursday September 25.
Mirai will be back in Hyderabad theatres on Friday September 26.
This gesture of solidarity between two rival films, is unheard of.
Speaking on the voluntary relinquishment of theatres for one day, Mirai star Teja Sajja said, “They didn’t even have to ask. We offered them our theatres on the day of their release. It is the least we can do to ensure that Pawan Kalyan sir’s film gets optimum exposure on its opening day.”
Teja feels there should be more co-operation and solidarity in every movie industry. “It is the only way for us to grow.”
