Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is all set to make his Telugu debut with the upcoming action thriller They Call Him OG. The film, starring Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan, has already generated significant buzz ahead of its release. A pre-launch event was held on Sunday at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, where both stars made an appearance.
Although the trailer was not unveiled at the event due to an unforeseen circumstance, the occasion still made headlines, especially for Pawan Kalyan’s warm words for Emraan Hashmi. Referring to the collaboration as “the ultimate chance to work with Emraan,” Pawan also gave a nod to the actor’s popular Bollywood track ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’, and praised his performance in the film. In return, Emraan Hashmi shared a video with Pawan Kalyan on social media, expressing his excitement about working together on such a high-profile project.
Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG is set against the gritty backdrop of Mumbai and falls within the gangster action thriller genre. Pawan Kalyan plays the lead role of Ojas Gambheera, a powerful and intense character, while Emraan Hashmi plays a key supporting role.
The film also stars Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. According to industry sources, the makers of OG are reportedly planning one of the largest premiere releases for a Telugu film in North America, highlighting its global appeal.
