Tanisha Mukerji reveals Uday Chopra breakup hurt more than Armaan Kohli: “We were very close”
Tanisha Mukerji, who has always been candid about her personal life, recently opened up about her past relationships and heartbreaks in an interview with Pinkvilla. The actress, who was once in the spotlight for her high-profile romances with actor Uday Chopra and former Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli, shared that she is now in a happy phase of life, in love with herself and the journey she’s on.
During the candid conversation, Tanisha addressed her much-publicised relationship with Armaan Kohli, which had begun on the sets of the reality show Bigg Boss. Their chemistry inside the house kept audiences hooked and even boosted the show’s TRPs. However, after the season ended, their romance fizzled out. Speaking about it, Tanisha said, “Woh itna heartbreak nahi tha (it was not really a heartbreak).”
Instead, she admitted that the end of her relationship with Uday Chopra left a deeper impact on her. “I was more heartbroken jab mera Uday ke sath breakup hua. Because we were friends. We were very close and we have known each other for a very long time,” she confessed.
For those unaware, Uday and Tanisha starred together in the Yash Raj banner film Neal ‘n’ Nikki (2005), which created much buzz at the time. Their friendship eventually grew into a romantic relationship, but the breakup left Tanisha hurt, not only because of the romance but also due to the loss of a long-standing friendship. However, the actress—known for her optimistic outlook—chose to see the brighter side of things. “I am the kind of person who always looks at the bright side of things. I just can’t help it. I believe that whatever happens, happens for the good,” she added.
Currently, Tanisha is embracing life with positivity and gratitude. Despite the heartbreaks of the past, she believes those experiences shaped her into who she is now. With her candidness, Tanisha once again reminded fans why she remains one of the most relatable voices in Bollywood.
