Seethakka and Surekha tie rakhi to Chief Minister

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy celebrated Raksha Bandhan with women leaders, activists, and well-wishers at his residence on Saturday.

Ministers Seethakka and Konda Surekha; Women’s Commission Chairperson Nerella Sharada, and Telangana Pradesh Mahila Congress president Sunita Rao tied rakhi to the Chief Minister, wishing him health and success in serving the State.

Former Minister Geetha Reddy, members of the Brahma Kumaris, and several Congress women workers also participated in the celebrations, tying rakhis and extending their greetings.

Kavitha gives a miss

Meanwhile, sisters of former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also tied rakhi to him wishing him good health. However, BRS MLC K Kavitha was conspicuous by her absence at her brother KT Rama Rao’s house. As expected, she did not visit his house to tie the rakhi, which has been a practice since long.
