Sachin–Jigar talk music magic behind Param Sundari: “You don’t just listen to it, you live it”

The music of Param Sundari is winning hearts even as the film itself makes waves at the box office. Released this week on August 29, the Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films’ romantic comedy starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor has been celebrated not just for its heartwarming story and sizzling chemistry but also for its soulful and energetic soundtrack.

Composers Sachin–Jigar, who have created chartbusters across multiple Bollywood films, recently spoke about the music journey behind Param Sundari and how they approached each song with a distinct vision.

“For us, every song in Param Sundari was like painting a different mood on the same canvas,” Sachin–Jigar shared. “With ‘Bheegi Saree’ we wanted to revive the nostalgia of rains, with ‘Pardesiya’ we allowed ourselves to melt into longing, while Danger was our chance to let loose and go full throttle on energy. What makes us happiest is seeing people connect to each song differently—some dance, some cry, some fall in love again. That’s the power of music, isn’t it? You don’t just listen to it, you live it.”

The soundtrack has resonated strongly with audiences, with fans sharing clips and reactions across social media platforms. Tracks like ‘Pardesiya’ are being hailed for their emotional depth, while ‘Bheegi Saree’ has struck a chord with those reminiscing about monsoon memories, and ‘Danger’ has emerged as a favorite for high-energy dance numbers.

The film itself, featuring the fresh pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has received glowing word-of-mouth. Fans have praised their chemistry and the narrative’s North-South cultural blend, describing the movie as “a full paisa vasool love story.” For Sachin–Jigar, the response is the ultimate reward. “When music transcends the screen and becomes part of someone’s personal experience, that’s when you know it has done its job. That’s what we always aim for,” the duo added.

With Param Sundari continuing to entertain audiences and its music dominating playlists, Sachin–Jigar’s melodies are proving that Bollywood songs can be as immersive emotionally as they are fun to dance to.
