Ravichandran Ashwin teases upcoming interview with Sanju Samson

Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin recently uploaded a riveting promotional video of his interaction with Sanju Samson on his official social media accounts. Several cricketers and members from the fraternity have been guests on Ashwin’s podcast “Kutti Stories with Ash” up until now.

The 28-second teaser which involved a lot of graphics showed Ashwin conversing with Samson over text. Ashwin responded to Samson that he was taking off from Chennai when asked whether he had reached Thiruvananthapuram or not. The next shot depicted the flight landing and an aerial view zooming straight towards Ashwin and Samson walking together at what seemed like a resort-like setting.

Cricket enthusiasts filled in the comments section with enthusiasm and were left longing for the entire video to drop. The end of the clip shared the release date of the entire episode, which is scheduled to drop on Saturday, August 9.

There have been all sorts of rumours circulating with respect to Ashwin and Samson’s Indian Premier League franchises as far as IPL 2026 is concerned. This could one of the many topics that the duo discusses during the course of the interview, but that will be known only once the interview is out.

He has interviewed the likes of Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Mike Hussey, David Warner, Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik, Varun Chakravarthy and Harsha Bhogle in the past, to name a few. His podcasts are generally quite intriguing with respect to the topics he touches upon, and his show has fast grown among the likeable ones and eagerly looked up to.

Samson has been out of the international setup for quite some time now. His last gig with India was the T20I series against England, which India won by a comfortable margin at home. As for Ashwin, his most-recent cricketing assignment was captaining Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, which occurred this year. His team emerged as the runners-up of the marquee competition, as R Sai Kishore-led side lifted the trophy.
