Ranvir Shorey calls Anupam Kher directorial Tanvi The Great “poignant and inspiring”; urges fans to watch it
Veteran actor Anupam Kher’s second directorial venture, Tanvi The Great, which hit theatres on July 18, continues to win praise for its emotional storytelling and powerful message. The latest to join the chorus of admiration is actor Ranvir Shorey, who recently shared his thoughts after watching the film.
Taking to his social media handle, Shorey posted a photo with Anupam Kher and wrote, “Take a bow, @AnupamPKher and team Tanvi – The Great! Such a poignant and inspiring film! It tackles multiple soul-stirring themes with such finesse! Please go watch if you haven’t already!”

Anupam Kher’s directorial effort backed by acclaimed collaborators
Directed by Anupam Kher and backed by his production house Anupam Kher Studios in association with NFDC, Tanvi The Great features music by Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani. The film’s global distribution is being handled by AA Films and Excel Entertainment.
The film has already made its mark internationally, having premiered at prestigious platforms like the Cannes Film Festival and the New York Indian Film Festival.

Before Shorey’s post, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also lauded the film after a special screening. Calling it a “golden journey,” she appreciated its focus on special children and added that the Delhi government would like to screen it for as many children as possible.
Reflecting on the most emotional part of the film, she said, “The moment the girl climbed the difficult terrain of Siachen and waved the Tiranga — that was truly heart-touching.”
