Hyderabad saw another spell of heavy rainfall on Tuesday that disrupted evening traffic and caused waterlogging in western parts of the city.

Water stagnation was reported in Lingampally, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Film Nagar, HITEX Road and around Lemon Tree Hotel, affecting commuters.

To manage the situation, traffic personnel from the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates were deployed at key junctions. Disaster Response Force teams from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency were also stationed at affected spots to assist in clearing inundated roads and ensuring smooth flow of traffic.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society, as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Lingampally recorded 51.3 mm rainfall followed by 44.8 in Chanda Nagar, 40.3 mm in University of Hyderabad, 36.5 mm in Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru, 30.3 mm in Hafeezpet, 26 mm in Jubilee Hills, 24.3 mm in Gachibowli, 23 mm in Yousufguda, 22.8 mm in Moosapet, 21.5 mm in Rahmath Nagar, 19.5 mm in Miyapur, 16.3 mm in Madhapur and 16 mm in Khajaguda.
