Pawan Kalyan’s pre-release event for They Call Him OG ends in a monsoonal mess
After the disastrous box office outcome of his last film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan has all his hopes pinned on They Call Him OG.
But the project seems to have taken off on the wrong foot. The grand pre-release event on September 21 at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium was a washout. Despite Pawan Kalyan’s best efforts to enthrall the surge of spectators, monsoonal rains proved to be the villain.
Interestingly, there was a major difference of opinion between Pawan Kalyan and director Sujeeth over the trailer launch.
A source in the know informed, “Sujeeth felt there should be no formal trailer launch. In fact, he was against a trailer as he felt it would take away rather than add to Pawan’s fans’ curiosity. But Pawan Kalyan wanted a trailer launch.”
They Call Him OG is important for the careers of both Pawan Kalyan and Sujeeth. The actor-politician’s recent films have not been successful. As for Sujeeth, he needs to prove himself the blockbuster director he projects himself to be.
