Over ₹107 crore credited to 1.6 lakh farmers in Eluru district under Annadata Sukhibhava, says Minister
The NDA government remains committed to farmer welfare and agricultural development, said I&PR Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy on Wednesday.
He stated that the Agriculture Department is working on comprehensive plans to boost farm incomes, improve crop productivity, and expand market facilities, with the aim of resolving farmers’ issues promptly.
Highlighting the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, he said 1,60,968 farmers in the Eluru district have received ₹107.08 crore directly in their bank accounts to meet crop investment costs. Beneficiaries have responded positively across the State, he added.
In the Nuzvid constituency alone, 35,529 farmers received ₹23.64 crore. Mr. Parthasarathy assured that all eligible farmers will be covered under the scheme. Those yet to receive the benefit should approach local agriculture officers, who have been directed to clear technical issues immediately and ensure quick disbursal.
