On CM’s directive, Collector hands over e-auto to husband of bed-ridden pensioner

District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri on Tuesday (September 2, 2025) handed over a new e-autorikshaw worth ₹3.45 lakh to Venkateswara Raju, husband of Sumithramma, a differently-abled pension beneficiary, in Rajampet mandal of Annamayya district.
During his visit to Boyinapalli in the mandal on Monday (September 1), Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu personally distributed a pension of ₹15,000 to Ms. Sumithramma, a bed-ridden patient, at her residence. When Mr. Raju informed the Chief Minister that he was driving an old auto-rickshaw for his livelihood, he directed the Collector to provide him with a new vehicle.
Following the instructions from the Chief Minister, Mr. Sridhar handed over an e-auto to Mr. Raju.
Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu, District Revenue Officer K. Madhusudhan Rao and other officials were present.
