Man dies as car hits tree in Belagavi

A man died and three were injured when their car hit a tree in Ramanagar village near Khanapur of Belagavi district on Monday.

Farid Ahmed of Hubballi died on the spot. Driver Badshah Syed, Mohim Alikatti and Abu Sufiyan who suffered injuries have been admitted to a hospital in Belagavi.

The car was on its way to Goa from Hubballi. The driver misjudged the length of the curve and hit the tree, the police said.

A case has been registered.
