KCR suspends daughter Kavitha from BRS for ‘anti-party activities’

Cracking the whip and sending a strong message that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leadership will not tolerate any activity that damages its image, the pink party on Tuesday (September 2, 2025) suspended MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha for anti-party activities.
The strong action comes a day after Ms. Kavitha, daughter of former Chief Minister and BRS supremo K. Chandrashekar Rao, levelled serious allegations against her party colleagues and close relatives – former Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and former MP J. Santosh Kumar.

The Party’s Disciplinary Action Committee general secretary Soma Bharat Kumar and BRS general secretary T. Ravinder Rao in a statement communicated that KCR took a decision to immediately suspend her from the party. According to the statement, Ms. Kavitha’s actions, conduct and continued anti-party activities in the recent times has the potential of damaging the party. In view of the seriousness, it has been decided to suspend her from the party.
