BJP praises Pawan Kalyan’s role in solving Uddanam kidney crisis

Bharatiya Janata Party-Trade Cell convener of Srikakulam Gudisa Sai Kamesh on Tuesday praised Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for highlighting the Uddanam kidney issue and helping thousands of kidney patients receive dialysis along with the construction of an exclusive kidney research center in Palasa, Srikakulam district.

In a press note on the occasion of Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, he said that Mr. Pawan’s visit to Ichchapuram in May 2018 and his protest over the Kidney problems there compelled successive governments to take action. These include the screening of over one lakh people living in the Uddanam region and initiating steps for providing safe drinking water, and establishing additional dialysis centres in Ichchapuram, Sompeta, Palasa and other places.

Mr. Sai Kamesh said: “Mr. Pawan won the hearts of thousands of people with his visit to Ithcapuram and focus on the kidney issue, which claimed the lives of over 10,000 people. His vision on people’s issues has inspired us. Fortunately, his Jana Sena Party is now an alliance partner of the NDA.”
