BJP organising Statewide ‘Tiranga Rallies’ in A.P. from August 10

BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav called upon the party leaders to organise ‘Tiranga Rallies’across Andhra Pradesh from August 10 to 14 to highlight India’s independence movement. Speaking to the leaders via audio conference on Saturday, Mr. Madhav said that the rallies were a part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, during which they should clean the statues of freedom fighters, visit their families and pay tributes. 

Similarly, the leaders should also visit the families of martyred soldiers and pay them homage. On August 14, the party leaders have to organise exhibitions depicting the circumstances under which India and Pakistan were divided and what happened in its aftermath. Silent rallies should be taken out on the same day evening, he added.

Mr. Madhav called for large-scale participation of youth, students, and voluntary organisations in the programmes, and said that BJP members should hoist national flags at their homes along with family members and take selfies from August 13 to 15. Local residents should also be involved in the flag hoisting event at party offices and public places, Mr. Madhav told the leaders.
