About five months ago, in April, Airbus gave MASPL the contract to make the main structure of H130 helicopters. Production in the Bengaluru factory
Airbus has said that both H125 and H130 will be produced at Mahindra’s Bengaluru facility, and the process of industrialization will start immediately. The first delivery of the H125 fuselage is expected by 2027. Financial details of this deal have not been given yet.
Airbus said in a statement that these contracts for H125 and H130 aerostructures will help strengthen India’s position in global aerospace manufacturing. Juergen Westermeier, the CMD of Airbus in India and South Asia, emphasized the importance of this partnership. He said, “This reflects our confidence in India as an important hub of global aerospace manufacturing.”
H125 is one of the best-selling single-engine helicopters in the world
H125 is one of the best-selling single-engine helicopters in the world. It is used for passenger transport, aerial work, tourism, medical evacuation and rescue missions. Airbus sees the H125 Final Assembly Line (FAL) as a catalyst for the development of new civil market segments in India.
