Bhuvan Bam claps back at troll accusing him of copying Akshay Kumar’s Cuttputlli dialogue

Bhuvan Bam recently posted an old skit on social media, to which a troll replied saying it was copied from Akshay Kumar’s 2022 film Cuttputlli, and this time, it’s playing out directly on Bhuvan Bam’s Instagram.

The film faced flak two years ago when viewers pointed out that one of its dialogues seemed copied from Bam’s hit YouTube series BB Ki Vines. The similarity was highlighted in fan-made comparison videos at the time, but the matter eventually faded.

Earlier, however, the debate reignited when a user commented on Bam’s latest Instagram reel, writing: “Copied from Akshay Kumar’s movie.” Bam didn’t let it slide. In his trademark no-filter style, he replied: “Chaahtha toh fact check kar sakta tha lekin Riyaz ki g**nd masti toh dekho..”

The clapback quickly went viral, with fans lauding Bam for defending his originality and taking down misinformation with humour. His response also reignited conversations about how Bollywood often borrows from digital creators without credit.

For context, Bam’s BB Ki Vines, which catapulted him to stardom with over 25 million subscribers, has been a cultural touchstone for internet humour in India for nearly a decade. Many argue his influence is so widespread that mainstream films occasionally echo his style or punchlines.
