Allu Arjun back on set for AA22xA6; Deepika Padukone to join in November

Allu Arjun quietly returned to the sets of Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi action thriller AA22xA6 in Mumbai, just days after laying his grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam, to rest. She passed away on August 29 at the age of 94, and the actor was seen performing the final rites with his family in Hyderabad before heading back to work.

The project, directed by Atlee and backed by a massive production setup, had been on a short break. With Arjun back on set, the team resumed shooting key sequences in Mumbai.

Adding more buzz to the film, it was reported that Bollywood star Deepika Padukone would be joining the cast in November. Her entry into the project only fuelled anticipation, marking a significant North-South collaboration in Indian cinema.

Alongside Deepika, Tamil actor-comedian Yogi Babu also came on board, further expanding the film’s diverse ensemble. His inclusion is expected to bring both comic relief and freshness to the high-stakes sci-fi narrative.

While official plot details remain under wraps, AA22xA6 is already generating strong industry chatter, thanks to its star power and the director-actor pairing of Atlee and Allu Arjun—both known for delivering mass entertainers with emotional depth.
