Akshay Kumar walks the ramp after 12 years for Falguni Shane Peacock at India Couture Week 2025
The ongoing India Couture Week 2025 in Delhi has drawn some of the biggest names in fashion and film, but Friday night stood out as Akshay Kumar made a runway appearance after 12 years, closing the show for designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock.
The actor, often referred to as Bollywood’s Khiladi, took to the ramp in an ivory bandhgala, paired with sleek black sunglasses, exuding a look reminiscent of a modern-day Indian prince. His confident walk added flair to the collection, which was inspired by royal Indian heritage, drawing from the opulence of maharajas and maharanis.
After the show, Akshay engaged in a light-hearted interaction with the media. Thanking the audience and press, he began, “Main Hindi mein bolunga. Aap sabhi logo ka bohot bohot dhanyawad, jitne bhi yahan log aaye, aur media.” Noticing the time, he joked, “Kaafi late nahi ho gaya hai?” prompting laughs, given his famously early routine.

The banter continued when someone remarked, “Dilli mein chalta hai sir,” to which Akshay humorously responded, “Dilli mein chalta hai? Tabhi haal dekh tera.” Reflecting on the evening, the actor shared that it had been nearly 12 years since he last walked the ramp—and that too, for the same designers. “It’s been an honour doing that again,” he said, expressing gratitude for the opportunity.
Akshay also acknowledged the effort behind putting together a fashion show: “I’ve seen how much hard work goes into organising a show, and it all wraps up in just 25 minutes. People dress up for hours and it’s over in no time.”

Praising the designers, he added, “Shane and Falguni present their work in such an international way. I think they’ve made India proud. I wish them the best and hope I get another chance to walk for them.”
