Over 5,000 students land jobs during campus recruitment

Over 5,000 students from Management, Humanities and Science (MHS-non-engineering courses) programmes in K.L. Deemed to be University have been placed during a job fair held on its campus at Vaddeswaram in Guntur district, according to the university management.

University vice-chancellor G. Pardhasaradi Verma announced this at a placement success meet held on the campus on Saturday. He said UG and PG students from a wide range of disciplines, including management, agriculture, pharmacy, architecture and commerce, have secured positions in over 155 companies, including reputable ones like Bank of America, Deloitte, ITC, Accenture and TCS.

“This year alone, over 450 national companies and 50 international firms participated in our campus drives,” Mr. Verma said, adding that 1,087 students officially accepted job offers. The highest pay package for selected UG students is ₹10.7 LPA.

Pro vice-chancellor N. Venkat Ram said the focus was on implementation of an action plan to ensure that students secured placements with competitive packages, regardless of their discipline and said specialised skill development programmes played a crucial role.

Industry representatives such as CEOs Bollineni Suresh Babu, P. Venugopal Rao, Samuel Philip Babu, VSR. Prasad Oruganti and Ram Chandra Soundar Rajan, participated in the success function and handed over appointment letters to the selected students.

Pro vice-chancellors A.V.S. Prasad and K. Rajasekhara Rao, registrar K. Subbarao, MHS dean M. Kishore Babu, skill development dean A. Srinath, placement associate dean P. Chalapathy, senior director Saravana Babu, director of admissions J. Srinivasa Rao and heads of various departments were present.
