Priority for public works in Yadgir, says Boyar

Deputy Commissioner of Yadgir Harshal Boyar has said that priority will be given to development works with coordination from elected representatives, including Minister, MLAs and local representatives.

He was addressing a press conference at the district administration building in Yadgir on Thursday.

Mr. Boyar said that he has been conducting meetings with various government officers and visiting offices too for a week now.

“I found all departments are functioning according to government rules. Now, I will prioritise works by seeking cooperation from elected representatives to ensure that government benefits reach the people effectively,” he added.

Making it clear that there will be zero tolerance for illegal activities, the Deputy Commissioner said that such activities will be dealt with.

“I have already held review meetings of Health, Education, Transport and other departments and given suggestions in order to provide pro-people governance and will continue with it,” Mr. Boyar said.

He also said that security arrangements at the Basavasagar Reservoir in Narayanpur will be tightened and strict legal action will be taken if anyone is found indulging in illegal activities in the dam site area.
