Ramayana Day 3 (Hindi) Box Office Estimate: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer clocks Rs. 50 crore on Saturday; Rs. 130 crore in 3 days
The Ranbir Kapoor and Yash led Ramayana has set the box office on fire in the Pre-Diwali period. After scoring Rs. 79.75 crore on the first two days, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial has gone on an overdrive on Saturday, recording the best day of its run till date. According to early estimates, the third day business in the range of Rs. 50 crore to Rs. 51 crore, taking the three-day collections to Rs. 130 crore.
The film is scoring well all across the board, and a large chunk of business at the moment is coming in from the urban centres. The mass belts, especially the one in the North, will come on board from Monday, when the Pre-Diwali factor goes away. The four-day weekend of Ramayana is expected to be in the range of Rs. 170 crore, and from there the film could rise on a generational run, as the reports are phenomenal to say the least.
Ramayana will be looking to score the biggest single-day collection in the history of Hindi Cinema on Monday, with a possibility of even touching the Rs. 100 crore mark on a single day.
If the masses buy into the film, the lifetime business could surprise, but these are still early days, and we will talk of the lifetime potential once the Monday business is clear.
