Actor and environmentalist Dia Mirza recently attended the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, where she interacted with young leaders and changemakers from different parts of the world. Sharing pictures from the event on Instagram, the actor reflected on the discussions and spoke about the role of young people in addressing environmental and social challenges.
In her post, Dia highlighted the importance of taking action rather than simply hoping for change. “Hope is in the action,” she wrote, describing her experience at the summit as deeply moving and inspiring.
The actor also spoke about her conversation with polar explorer and climate communicator Grace Cordsen, which focused on the role of storytelling in building awareness about the environment.
“My conversation with the wonderful polar explorer and climate communicator Grace Cordsen was a beautiful reminder of the power of storytelling to connect us to each other and to our living planet. From the forests of India to the melting Arctic, our stories may emerge from different landscapes, but they carry a shared truth. What we love, we protect,” Dia wrote.
