Salman Khan recorded ‘Teri Sexy Beauty’ on an empty stomach to get a husky voice, reveals Sajid Khan
Salman Khan has lent his voice to the newly released song ‘Teri Sexy Beauty,’ from his upcoming film Maatrubhumi. Music composer Sajid Ali Khan has now shared how the track came together, revealing that Salman decided to record it at short notice and that the team worked around the actor’s voice to achieve the desired sound.

Speaking about the recording session, Sajid recalled receiving a call from Salman just a week before the song was recorded. He said, “A week ago, Salman bhai called me saying, ‘Let’s record it.’ I had one condition. I told him, ‘When you wake up, don’t eat or drink anything. Call me, and I will come to the studio quickly, and we will record it then and there.’”
Explaining why he made the request, Sajid said he wanted Salman’s voice to have a particular texture. “I needed that gravelly, husky voice that jazz singers have. [At the studio], we listened to some jazz songs, and then he got into the mood. It didn’t take him long to record it as he knew it by heart,” he added.
The composer’s account offers a glimpse into the track’s last-minute process. According to the press note, Salman initially considered changing some of the lyrics to suit the film’s intense tone, but eventually went ahead with the song as it was.
‘Teri Sexy Beauty’ features Salman and Chitrangda Singh, with the latter sharing screen space with the actor in the track. Sajid Khan composed the song and also wrote its lyrics, while Caesar Gonsalves choreographed it. The track is now available across major music platforms.
With Salman taking on the vocals, the song adds another musical appearance to his filmography, alongside his on-screen pairing with Chitrangda.
