Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Thursday, Nov 5, 2026: The Nifty50 and the Sensex surged as oil prices slumped, with Democrats’ win in the US midterm election raising bets on a faster end to West-Asia conflict. As of 12 PM, the Sensex rose 1,535.14 points or 1.99 per cent to 78,836.54, and the Nifty50 was up 447.30 points or 1.87 per cent at 24,407.90. Shriram Finance, InterGlobe Aviation, and Asian Paints were the top gainers in the Nifty50. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap advanced 1.19 per cent and 1.14 per cent, respectively. Sector-wise, the Nifty Auto, the Nifty Financial Services, and the Nifty Realty outperformed, while the Nifty Pharma and the Nifty Healthcare declined the most.
