Sai Pallavi as Sita takes centre stage in new character promo of Ramayana ahead of November 5 release
With the release of Ramayana approaching, the makers have unveiled a new character promo featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita. The video offers a closer look at the actor’s portrayal of the princess of Mithila, highlighting different aspects of her character and her place in the epic.
The promo moves between visuals of Sita in the royal setting of Mithila and moments that establish her connection with the Earth and Lord Rama. It also draws attention to the values associated with her character, including devotion, love and Dharma. Two phrases, ‘Daughter of the Earth’ and ‘Bound by Love’, feature prominently in the video, offering a glimpse into how the makers are introducing Sita’s journey.
Sharing the promo on social media, the makers wrote, “Daughter of the Earth, princess of Mithila. Bound by love, guided by Dharma. Sai Pallavi as Sita.”

The latest character reveal follows the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release. Sai Pallavi, known for her performances across Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, takes on the role of Sita in the two-part adaptation of the epic.
Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sunny Deol lead the cast of Ramayana
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The film is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the epic. The first instalment is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027.
Produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It will also be available in premium theatrical formats, including IMAX. Sony Pictures will handle international distribution outside India, while Dharma Productions will oversee distribution in the Hindi-speaking market.
With the new promo, the makers have offered audiences another glimpse of Sai Pallavi’s interpretation of Sita ahead of the film’s release.
