EXCLUSIVE: Jitin Gulati recalls being star-struck on meeting Prabhas for the first time: “It felt like Amarendra Baahubali was walking in!”; opens up on Fauzi: “What they are creating has NEVER been seen before”
After working in Broken But Beautiful, Bambai Meri Jaan, Kajol-starrer Maa (2025), etc., Jitin Gulati will next be seen in two Pan-India projects – Mahakali, co-starring Akshaye Khanna, and Prabhas-starrer Fauzi. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the talented actor spoke about his experience of working on Fauzi.
Jitin Gulati said, “I wish I could talk a lot about it. But I can assure you that what they are creating with Fauzi is something never seen before. There’s a reason why this film is so highly anticipated. I know Prabhas sir is very excited about it. Director Hanu Raghavapudi sir can best be described as conviction personified. You have to be on the set to see him at work. He’s the most hard-working director I have ever worked with. I am quite confident that Fauzi will be a landmark film in the careers of everyone associated with it. I know it’s a big thing to say, but everyone genuinely believes that. I have shot with Prabhas sir as well as Anupam Kher ji, and it truly feels like we are a part of a magnum opus.”
Was he star-struck when he met Prabhas for the first time? Jitin Gulati confessed, “On the first day, yes. I have been shooting for the film over a period of time, and I first met him last year, in 2025. Since we have all seen him as Baahubali, that’s the first image that comes to mind when you see him walk onto the set. It felt like Amarendra Baahubali himself was walking in; I am not joking (laughs). That’s the kind of effect he has on people around him. The good part is that he doesn’t carry the aura of a star arriving on set. He’s genuinely one of those rare actors who doesn’t carry his stardom with him. He’s very easy-going and extremely easy to work with.”
