PwC US, PwC India announce joint venture to combine advisory capabilities
PwC US and PwC India have announced a joint venture that will bring together their advisory talent and capabilities across India and the US, creating an integrated platform to serve clients in India, the US and other global markets.
The joint venture will combine PwC India’s Consulting business with the India-based capabilities of PwC US Advisory. The move comes as India becomes increasingly important to global companies as a fast-growing market, a hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and a source of technology, talent, and innovation.
The firms said clients are seeking greater scale, deeper expertise and seamless access to capabilities across markets. The new platform will combine market relationships, industry expertise and delivery capabilities under a single team.
“The firms that win will be the ones that stop thinking about markets, capabilities, and delivery as separate pieces. That’s what makes this combination so powerful,” said Paul Griggs, PwC US Senior Partner and CEO.
“We’re bringing the full breadth of our advisory talent in India together with PwC US—one team with the relationships, expertise, and scale to deliver for our clients and the PwC network,” he added.
The combined platform will cover a broad range of client requirements, from strategy and transformation to technology, engineering and artificial intelligence.
It will also expand PwC’s managed services capabilities, allowing the firm to support clients in operating critical parts of their businesses at greater scale.
The platform is expected to strengthen support for US-headquartered companies with GCCs in India and enhance PwC’s ability to serve clients across major global trade flows. It is also expected to provide a stronger base for innovation as AI reshapes how businesses operate and deliver services.
The joint venture is part of PwC’s broader plan to develop a more globally integrated consulting model. PwC firms across markets will have greater access to the combined talent and expertise of the new platform.
Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India and incoming CEO of the new joint venture, said the move reflected the firm’s growth in India and its increasing role within the global PwC network.
“Throughout our more than 150 years’ history in the country, we have been committed to the growth of India. Our Vision 2030 aligns our commitment to building a Viksit Bharat, and this joint venture is a step in that direction,” Krishan said.
He said the joint venture would combine PwC’s global consulting capabilities with India’s talent base, enabling the firm to serve domestic and multinational clients more effectively.
“This brings together strengths that used to sit in different places, allowing us to better serve clients across the world by combining the might of PwC’s global consulting capabilities with the best talent from India,” Krishan said.
He added that the arrangement would give domestic clients greater access to global capabilities while allowing multinational companies and GCCs to be served more seamlessly.
The signing marks the beginning of the next phase of the transaction, with the joint venture expected to become operational in the first half of calendar year 2027, subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Until the transaction closes, PwC US and PwC India will continue to serve clients through their existing structures and operating models. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The joint venture will be owned and governed by PwC US and PwC India.
