Amway enters Ayurveda market, targets Rs 100 crore business in 2 years

NEW DELHI: Amway India has entered the Ayurveda market with the launch of nine Nutrilite Ayurveda products and is targeting Rs 100 crore in sales from the category over the next two years.The company said the products are based on Ayurvedic botanicals sourced from organically cultivated farms and manufactured at its facility in Tamil Nadu.The first phase of the launch includes three formulations – Kalamegha, Shigru (moringa) and Vrikshamla (garcinia). According to the company, Kalamegha is intended to support liver function, Shigru to help manage fat deposition and inflammation, and Vrikshamla to support metabolism and satiety.Amway India managing director Rajneesh Chopra said the company expects increasing consumer interest in Ayurveda and preventive healthcare to support growth in the segment.“Consumers are increasingly embracing Ayurveda as an everyday choice for wellness, but they also seek transparency, consistency and scientific validation,” Chopra said.The company said the new range combines its botanical research expertise with Ayurveda and local manufacturing. It plans to add more products to the portfolio as it expands its presence in the segment.
