FuelBuddy Appoints Former IndianOil Executive Jagdeep Kumar Rana As MD For India Business

Doorstep fuel delivery company, FuelBuddy has appointed former IndianOil Corporation executive Jagdeep Kumar Rana as Managing Director for its India business.

Rana joins FuelBuddy after a 38-year career with IndianOil, where he most recently served as Executive Director for the Northern Region. In that role, he oversaw 168 operational locations across 10 states.

During his career at IndianOil, Rana held leadership roles across LPG operations, plant management, engineering, planning and health, safety and environment (HSE). His previous positions included Chief General Manager (HSE) at IndianOil’s corporate office, General Manager (LPG) for Punjab, Chief General Manager (LPG) for Rajasthan and Chief General Manager (Planning & ES) for Punjab.

A civil engineering graduate from Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra, Rana is also an alumnus of the Management Education Programme at IIM Ahmedabad.

He was involved in several major initiatives during his tenure at IndianOil, including fuel supply operations for defence forces in forward areas of Northern India during Operation Sindoor and the rollout of the PM Ujjwala Yojana in Punjab. He also worked on the commissioning and digitisation of IndianOil bottling plants and early SAP and Indsoft implementations within the company’s Marketing Division.

At FuelBuddy, Rana will focus on improving supply-chain efficiency, safety standards and customer-facing operations as the company expands its fuel-delivery and fuel-management services for industrial, commercial and institutional customers.

Rana will lead FuelBuddy’s India operations as the company looks to expand its doorstep fuel delivery and energy-distribution network across the country. FuelBuddy also has operations in the UAE and Africa.
