Women’s Asia Cup 2026: Final squads of all teams

The tenth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup unfolds in the United Arab Emirates across August and September 2026 in T20I format. Eight teams compete in two groups of four, with the top two finishers from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The final takes place on September 13 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which hosts all tournament matches.

Group A comprises Hong Kong, Thailand, India and Pakistan, whereas Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the UAE. The tournament begins on August 28 with Hong Kong facing Thailand, followed by Sri Lanka versus the UAE on August 29. India will play Thailand on August 30, Bangladesh will take on Indonesia on August 31, and Pakistan will meet Thailand on September 1. India and Pakistan meet on September 5 in their first encounter since the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Tournament history and defending champions

Sri Lanka enter as defending champions after winning the 2024 edition. India won the first six editions of the competition, which began in 2004 as an ODI tournament before transitioning to the T20I format. Bangladesh claimed the 2018 title in Malaysia, while India secured their seventh championship in 2020. Sri Lanka’s 2024 victory marked the first time the tournament crown moved away from India.

Squad announcements and confirmation dates

Pakistan announced their squad on August 16, Sri Lanka on August 13, Thailand on August 21, and the UAE on August 21. Indonesia’s squad announcement remains pending at the time of writing. All other teams have confirmed their 15-member rosters with captains and vice-captains in place.

Harmanpreet Kaur captains India with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain. Chamari Athapaththu leads Sri Lanka as defending champions. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana heads the side, while Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty has Nahida Akter as vice-captain. Thailand captain Naruemol Chaiwai, Hong Kong captain Natasha Miles and UAE captain Esha Oza complete the leadership group across the eight teams.
