Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios’ Mirzapur: The Movie is among the most awaited upcoming films, with anticipation growing since its announcement. The film marks the theatrical debut of the popular Mirzapur franchise and will bring its familiar characters and world to the big screen for the first time. The recently released teaser and trailer have further increased interest in the film.
During a promotional visit to Patna, Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit, revealed how the film connects with the original series. He urged viewers to revisit Mirzapur Season 1, specifically up to Episode 6, to understand where the film’s story begins.
Explaining the connection, Ali Fazal said, “Everyone must go home and watch Series 1 but only till episode 6. As from episode 6 the story of movie starts and revolves.”
His comments have given fans another reason to revisit the first season before heading to theatres. The film is expected to continue the story and bring back the characters and conflicts that have made the franchise popular among viewers.
Mirzapur: The Movie is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani are the co-producers.
