Arab woman tourist found dead in Kozhikode hotel

An Arab woman tourist from Ras Al Khaimah was found dead in a hotel room near Jaffer Khan Colony Road in Kozhikode on Friday (August 14).

The police identified the tourist as Zainab Ali Juma Mohammad Al Marzooqi, 41. She reportedly reached the city last week along with her family members as part of an international trip.

Police sources said the exact cause of death could be ascertained only after the post-mortem report was received, though it was suspected to be a case of cardiac arrest. She was reportedly suffering from various ailments.

The incident was reported to the Nadakkavu police by her parents who were accompanying her. Following the inquest, the body was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
