Security guard found murdered at farmhouse near Chittoor
A 62-year-old security guard was found murdered at a farmhouse in Mangapuram village under Talambedu panchayat in Chittoor rural mandal on Saturday morning.
The deceased, identified as Anandaiah, had been working as a security guard at the farmhouse owned by Chinna Rajulu Naidu, who is currently residing in the U.S.
According to the police, other workers who arrived at the farmhouse for their routine duties found Anandaiah lying in a pool of blood. His throat had allegedly been slit with a sharp-edged weapon.
The Chittoor police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. A CLUES team was deployed to collect forensic evidence from the crime scene.
The motive for the murder was not immediately known. The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Chittoor for postmortem examination.
The police said CCTV footage from the farmhouse and surrounding areas would be examined as part of the investigation. A case has been registered.
