Her remarks have quickly grabbed attention on social media, with many users discussing the changing benchmarks for box office success.

Ameesha Patel reacts to fan’s question

During the interactive session, a fan asked whether actresses should celebrate films crossing the Rs 100 crore mark when collections are aided by discounted ticket offers, promotional schemes and corporate bookings.

The user wrote, “Many film actresses in recent time are celebrating success of their films by only touching 100 cr n that too with buy 1 get one free offer or then 99 per ticket or then super Tuesday.. So is it Corect to use PR machinery and show themselves as super successful actresses? #AskAmy”

Replying to the post, Ameesha wrote, “It’s a joke if u cal ur self a hit star and celeberate a films success,, that too in 2026 by doing 100 cr at the box office with buy one get one free offers and 99 rs tickets and corporate bookings. Stop being in denial 😝 its 2026 and not 2000..people are way too smart now.”

While the actor did not mention any individual or film, her response has triggered discussions online about whether the Rs 100 crore milestone still carries the same significance it once did.

Ameesha also responds to Batwara 1947 comparison

In the same #AskAmy session, another fan brought up the trailer of Batwara 1947 and compared Preity Zinta’s character to Ameesha Patel’s iconic portrayal of Sakina in Gadar.

The fan wrote, “Have you watched the Batwara trailer? It feels like Preity Zinta is trying very hard to copy your iconic Sakina. But some characters are simply unforgettable. And no one can recreate the magic you and Sunny sir gave us in Gadar.”

Ameesha chose to respond positively, writing, “Woh bhi bahut Khoobsurat hai bhai. Sakina wishes her the best. Tara ka dhyaan rakhna till he’s not back to where he belongs.”
