Top buzzing stocks today

Ola Electric Mobility share price will be in focus today.

Shares of Ola Electric surged over 10% to an intraday high of Rs 42.55 on BSE.

One of the key reasons behind the rally in Ola Electric shares is the company’s latest move into the utility-scale battery energy storage market.

On 5 August, Ola Electric announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Axis Energy to explore the deployment of up to 20 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) by 2032.

Sterlite Technologies shares will also be a top buzzing stock.

Shares of Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) hit the 5% upper circuit on Wednesday, extending their winning streak to a fifth consecutive session, amid optimism over reports that the US is planning restrictions on imports of certain Chinese data centre components.

According to a Reuters report, the Trump administration is drafting measures to ban imports of new models of Chinese data centre components as part of its efforts to secure infrastructure supporting the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI).

Gold & Silver Extend Gains

Gold and silver prices extended gains on the MCX for a second straight session on Wednesday as oil prices fell for a third consecutive day, easing inflation concerns. Investors now await upcoming U.S. jobs data for fresh cues on the Federal Reserve’s interest rate trajectory.

In the domestic market, MCX silver futures for September 2026 delivery were up Rs 3,495 at Rs 2,25,110 per kg. Gold futures for October 2026 delivery gained by Rs 1,378 to Rs 1,45,677 per 10 grams. With today’s increase, the two are up by Rs 8,400 (4%) and Rs 3,000 (3%) in two sessions.

SoftBank-Backed OfBusiness Revives IPO Plans

OFB Tech Pvt Ltd, the parent company of B2B commerce and financing platform OfBusiness, is reviving its plans to go public and could raise up to US$800 million through an initial public offering (IPO), according to people familiar with the matter.

The company has reportedly appointed Axis Capital, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup as advisors for the proposed offering. It is aiming to file its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) as early as November, subject to market conditions.

OfBusiness had previously explored an IPO but shelved the plan due to unfavourable market conditions. Under the revived proposal, the issue is expected to comprise a fresh issue of up to US$200 million, while the remaining amount will come through an offer for sale (OFS) by existing shareholders.

Apart from SoftBank Group, the company’s investors include Tiger Global Management, Norwest Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, and Falcon Edge Capital, highlighting strong backing from global institutional investors.

Rupee Strengthens

The Indian rupee strengthened by 26 paise to close at 95.12 against the US dollar on Wednesday, compared to its previous close of 95.38, after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept the benchmark repo rate unchanged at 5.25%.

The currency also drew support from declining crude oil prices, following signs of progress in US-Iran negotiations, which helped ease concerns over India’s import bill.

According to analysts, the RBI’s decision to maintain interest rates has supported the rupee by helping prevent capital outflows that could arise from lower returns on Indian assets. The stable policy stance also provides a degree of certainty at a time of geopolitical tensions and volatile global commodity prices.

The RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) retained both the repo rate at 5.25% and its neutral policy stance, in line with market expectations.

Despite Wednesday’s recovery, the rupee has remained under pressure for much of 2026, trading largely in the 95-96 per US dollar range. Once regarded as one of Asia’s more stable currencies, it has been among the weaker-performing emerging market currencies this year.
