The Marriott India Business Council recently celebrated the 11th anniversary of its flagship event, “Road to Give,” with an energising edition held in Hyderabad. This year’s gathering brought together Marriott associates, partners, and the local community, showcasing a shared commitment to wellness, solidarity, and making a positive impact. Although the initiative spans South Asia, the Hyderabad event stood out for its emphasis on city-wide participation and community engagement across Marriott properties.

Initially conceived as a fitness-focused event, “Road to Give” has evolved into a widespread movement promoting empathy and collective action throughout the region. The Hyderabad edition kicked off with a warm-up session at Marriott Executive Apartments, followed by a 5K run. Participants then engaged in a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout and concluded with a celebratory breakfast at the Altair banquet hall.

This year’s campaign saw over 10,000 associates coming together to walk, run, cycle, and move for a good cause, embodying Marriott’s ethos of care and service. The event raised more than INR 1 crore, which will be donated to Rising Star Outreach of India, a Chennai-based NGO dedicated to supporting and rehabilitating individuals and families affected by leprosy through education, healthcare, and vocational training.

Aligning with Marriott’s core value of “Putting People First,” associates across participating hotels organised wellness activities, charity runs, and volunteer-driven initiatives, reinforcing the importance of physical well-being and the joy of giving back to the community.

“Each year, Road to Give reminds us of the extraordinary power of collective purpose,” said
Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, Marriott India Business Council.
“As we commemorate the 11 th
year of this remarkable initiative, we celebrate not just the funds raised or the miles covered, but
the spirit of unity and compassion our associates bring to their communities. Their efforts
continue to strengthen Marriott’s legacy of care and commitment across the region.”

Over the years, the Road to Give initiative has become a defining aspect of Marriott’s commitment to social responsibility. It empowers employees to act as catalysts for positive change, promoting wellness, inclusion, and empathy. Each edition reaffirms the core belief that genuine success is found in helping others and advancing sustainable social progress.

The recent event in Hyderabad stood out not only for its cultural significance but also for the incredible participation of several prominent hotels in the region.
